How do you become a good leader?

Are you born with it? Is it a talent? Is it a deep technical expertise in your selected field? Can it be bought? Is it the ability to teach? A focus on being a servant? Is it about innovation?

Maybe…maybe not.

We could spend even more of our time repeating quotes from the famous stars of leadership. Some that only became viewed as leaders because of being in the right place at the right time. Many others that are already dead and who’s fame in death grew to far exceed their living impact. Worse yet, some if they were alive today would be investigated for behavior unbecoming of their posthumous status.

What about leader of today?

While there are many great leaders that are worthy of praise and emulation, there are so many more leaders alive today that are deserving of our recognition and respect and are make a real impact today.

We all know there is no specific formula to create great leaders, we know when we experience them. We also know that we can borrow from them to help us become better leaders.
